POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bartender at The Perlant is instrumental in shaping the guest experience through exceptional beverage service. Anchored in our elegant wine bar, this role requires a balance of technical skill, product knowledge, and gracious hospitality. The ideal candidate brings a refined presence behind the bar, a deep understanding of premium wines and spirits, and the ability to anticipate and personalize each guest interaction with care and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Beverage Preparation & Service:
- Craft and serve classic cocktails, signature drinks, wine, champagne, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and precision
Customize beverages based on member preferences and special requests - Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control according to club standards
Member Engagement:
- Deliver warm, attentive, and personalized service, engaging members by name and learning their preferences
- Anticipate needs and provide thoughtful recommendations, including food and beverage pairings
- Manage guest requests and dietary restrictions with discretion and accurac
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the club’s full beverage offerings, including wine vintages, cocktail components, and seasonal features
- Stay current with industry trends and apply them to enhance the beverage program
- Participate in tastings, trainings, and menu development sessions
- Ensure the bar remains impeccably clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service
- Manage inventory levels, restock as needed, and communicate supply needs
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and storage protocols for beverage ingredients and garnishes
- Accurately process orders and handle member billing with efficiency and accuracy
- Adhere to all club policies, local and state alcohol regulations, and health department guideline
- Monitor alcohol consumption and exercise discretion when addressing over-service concerns
- Promote and maintain a safe, respectful environment for members and staff
- Work in tandem with the floor staff, kitchen team, and management to ensure seamless service flow
- Assist in the planning and execution of member events, tastings, and private functions
- Contribute ideas for seasonal cocktail updates and member programming enhancements
All Front-of-House team members are required to attend weekly training and education sessions as part of their continued development. To ensure service standards are consistently upheld, The Perlant conducts periodic knowledge assessments and secret shops. These evaluations help measure each team member’s understanding of our offerings and commitment to excellence.
Please note: failure to attend required training or to demonstrate sufficient knowledge through written or verbal assessments may result in formal documentation and, if necessary, termination. This reflects a lack of alignment with the performance standards and core values of The Perlant Service Team.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES ENCOURAGED:
- Proven experience in a fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club setting
- Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine varietals, beer, and mixology techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:
In addition to an hourly wage, The Perlant operates as a 100% pooled house, where teamwork is essential to our service philosophy. All gratuities are combined and distributed based on a weighted average, calculated by hours worked per shift. This ensures every team member shares in the success of providing an exceptional experience to our members.
Please note: Participation in the tip pool is contingent upon consistently meeting performance expectations and upholding team standards. Team members who do not actively contribute to the overall service effort, or who fail to meet the performance standards outlined in training and daily operations, may be subject to formal documentation and, if necessary, termination.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Full-time position (evenings, weekends, and holidays as required).
- Based in Atlanta with an Office/Club environment.
- Ability to lift wine cases and bottles up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
